It doesn't take a brain surgeon to know that the total weight of a wheel chair is going to be a prime consideration when purchasing a wheel chair ...especially if you plan on travelling a lot...or if your wheel chair is going to be transported like a manual wheel chair in the backseat of your car, placed in the car trunk lifted up into a van. Remember, if you're out of shape...not only will your limited ability make your life more difficult, but it could shorten it considerably as well. Get in shape. If you're weighing more than you should...lose weight and workout more. Consume more fruits and vegetables, fish and chicken and less red meat. Use a plan...any type of plan that will either have you cut back on calories, fat, carbohydrates...whatever.

These tires can enable you to travel on asphalt, through gravel and even sand, if that's what you desire. There are many different kinds of plastic and metal holders put out by wheel chair manufacturer (s) for your wheel chair. They can contain everything from your portable cell phone, your reading glasses, or even a soft drink or beer.

Have you seen this? A beverage holder that goes onto your wheel chair with a clamp. It has a tube (like a long straw) so you can be drinking while wheeling your time away to your next destination.

Or, how about these wheel chair accessory (s), like saddlebags and pouches to put on your wheel chair to carry everything but the kitchen sink items are available in more styles and colors than you could possibly ever want. Also available are many wheel chair cushion (s) and armrest covers. Now, these really do make life more bearable. Just like a wheel chair lift if and when your travelling could. Remember, if your in your wheel chair long periods of time...it is essential to buy the best...most expensive, (if need be).. cushion possible.
